A Message from our Superintendent

A Message from our Superintendent
It is my pleasure to welcome you to another exciting year in Greenwood School District 52! It’s hard to believe that this is only my 2nd year serving as your Superintendent considering everything that happened in my first year. I want to personally thank our Board, administrators, teachers, students, staff, and parents for making my first year so memorable.

Some of the highlights of my first year included:
  • Ninety Six High School Wildcat Marching Band capturing another 1A State Championship
  • Edgewood Junior Beta Club's success at the SC Beta Club Convention
  • Hiring of a New Head Football Coach
  • Retention bonus for all current employees
  • Ninety Six High School Academic Challenge Team capturing another State Title
  • Passing of Referendum 2023

None of these awards and recognitions would have been possible without the tremendous efforts of District 52’s world class staff. Whether your responsibility is supervising, teaching, preparing lunches, maintaining the building or managing the office, our overall objective will always remain the same. As a T.E.A.M., we must always do what is in the best interest of all of our children.

During this school year, the word T.E.A.M. for our district will be used as an acronym that stands for Together Everyone Achieves More. While we are extremely proud of our accomplishments last school year, this year offers another opportunity to start a new chapter in our book of excellence. Our tireless efforts have allowed our students to excel in the classroom, on the playing field, and in the community. One of the most enjoyable parts of my first year was watching our students in action and meeting all of the challenges and expectations set forth by our teachers. We have so much positive momentum in District 52 due to our willingness to come together as a T.E.A.M. to make our students' dreams a reality.

In my second year as Superintendent, I will continue to maintain and grow the culture in our district and provide every student and staff member with a sense of belonging that supports our efforts towards continuous improvement across the board.

In closing, I believe Henry Ford said it best when he stated, "Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is a success."  As we begin another school year, our district will never waver in our mission to provide high quality educational services in order for every student to achieve their goals and dreams. With your ongoing support we will overcome every challenge and continue making a difference in the lives of our students.

While serving as your Superintendent, I plan to be accessible to all stakeholders and always maintain an open line of communication. I encourage and welcome any questions, comments, suggestions, or concerns you have about our schools and can be reached at [email protected].

I look forward to working together this school year as a T.E.A.M. as we can continue to make Ninety Six a place of which we can all be proud!
